A power distribution box (also called PDU or distro) directs electricity from a main source to multiple circuits. It acts like a hub or traffic controller, managing power flow to different areas or devices. Distribution substations connect to the transmission system and lower the transmission voltage to medium voltage ranging between 2 kV and 33 kV. The box is a closed container made of metal or plastic, which contains various electrical components, such as circuit breakers, contactors, relays, etc. And all the switching and protective devices are installed in the distribution box.
